TexFlex09
For those of you that missed TexFlex this year, sorry. For those of you that were there, WASN’T IT FREAK’IN SWEET?!
Seriously though, this year TexFlex was great and due to the overwhelmingly positive response we will be having another event next year that includes more days, more tracks, and more parties. For a one day event we were already bursting at the seems this year with over 225 people in the mix, plus 13 speakers, and 12 unique sessions. Again this year the entire event was held at the Marriott in the Shops at Legacy and we even took some space at the Miller and Associates office located next to the Marriott. Though the day was Friday the 13th, and we had some bad luck with power going out right at the beginning of the day, the rest of the day went smoothly thanks in part to the Miller and Associates staff and the speakers.
The Keynote
This year the TexFlex keynote was handled by James Ward, Adobe Enterprise Evangelist. It was really cool seeing the top 10 new changes in the Flash Platform Community that made him excited.
The Speakers
This year the speakers at TexFlex were all top notch! This included framework developers, book writers, community experts, Adobe Evangelists, and Flex contributors. Each of these speakers have proved themselves as a leader in the Flash and Flex Community and I am proud to say that I am included in their ranks.

I’m not going to go too much into the afterparty except to say that IT WAS AWESOME! Hosted at Naan in the Shops at Legacy, we were well taken care of. Hosted by Ovrflo Media we partied late into the night with lots of geek talk and reminiscing about the day.
